Wedding outfits 2018: the main trends

Capes and pelerines

A cape is increasingly used instead of the classical veil. Such an alternative is suggested to the brides by a lot of designers. The wedding dresses 2018, as you can see at the photos of the models Elie Saab, Francesca Miranda and Peter Langner, are matched perfectly well either with the long capes, resembling the cloaks of the knights, or with the short delicate pelerines, covering only the shoulders.







Black accents

Some years ago the “queen” of the wedding fashion Vera Wang offered to the brides to put the black wedding dresses on. But indeed this courageous trend did not satisfy the fashion Olympus. Next spring the designers Peter Langner, Vera Wang and Carolina Herrera are suggesting the black colour to the brides again, but this time not so radically: only as the contrast accents and accessories.






Something Blue...

As we all know there must by something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue on the bride at the wedding. So this season this “something blue” may perfectly be the dress. The fashionable blue hue wedding dresses can be seen in the Reem Acra, Randy Fenoli, Mira Zwillinger collections.





Glass beads and pearls

The tempting “mermaids” and the vintage style models, embroidered from top to bottom with glass beads and abundantly decorated with pearls, the strings of beads and necklaces as the outfit elements – the designers Monique Lhuillier, Lela Rose and Galia Lahav have decided that the wedding dress can never have too much decoration!





Pants outfit

The bride wearing the dress is one more stereotype that the designers Houghton, Lela Rose and Jenny Packham decided to destroy. The bride pants outfit, boiler suit or any ensemble (but necessarily with pants of any cut!) – there is the wide choice!






Big bow

The big and small bows came forward the last season. And the wedding dresses 2018 have revealed this trend in full beauty: in the collections of Carolina Herrera, Sachin & Babi and Oscar de la Renta the dresses are decorated not just with the modest and lovely little bows, but with the big ones that have become the main elements of the models.





Flowers

The floral embroidery and applications are always beautiful, luxurious and feminine. This trend dominates every season – and the spring 2018 is not an exception. The examples are shown in the Lela Rose, Marchesa, Viktor & Rolf collections.







Gloves

The gloves are again in fashion. This truly feminine and refind accessory is suggested for the next spring to the newlyweds by Lela Rose, Monique Lhuillier and Reem Acra. You can choose their short-cut variant – covering only the wrists – or the oblonged wedding gloves with the length higher than the elbow, transparent or mat ones, matching either the dress or your skin.
